Date: August 2018
Position: Director - Member Representative

Vision Super has confirmed to Industry Moves the appointment of Diane Smith as a director on the fund's board.

Smith joined the $9.8 billion fund in August 2018 as a member representative, having been nominated by the Australian Services Union - Victorian and Tasmanian Authorities & Services Branch (the ASU). She previously worked in the banking industry in the UK and is currently working within the Home and Community Care department of the City of Whittlesea.

Commenting on her appointment, Vision Super chair, Geoff Lake, said: "It's great to have Diane on the Vision Super board. She brings not only a wealth of financial services experience but also the perspective of our members who work in local government in vital roles like home and community care. I'm looking forward to working with her to achieve great outcomes for our members."

He added: "Vision Super is one of very few organisations to have achieved gender equity on the Board, and we're proud of that achievement."

Smith replaces Wendy Phillips, who stepped down from the board at the end of July.
