Not-for-profit super fund, VicSuper, has announced the appointment of Sam Horskins as its new chief financial officer, effective December 2017.

In this role, Horskins will be responsible for leading the finance strategy for the $20 billion industry fund and managing the project management function and fund operations.

Horskins has over 20 years' experience in the financial services industry. Most recently, he was the CFO at Guild Group, a role he was appointed to in 2008. Previously, he held roles with OAMPS Group and EY.

Commenting on his appointment at VicSuper, CEO Michael Dundon, said: "We're pleased to have Sam join the VicSuper team. His skills and experience will complement and add significant value to our existing team, allowing us to continue to execute on our growth strategy."

Horskins added: "I'm excited to be joining such a highly regarded fund and look forward to working closely with the executive team and board in continuing to grow the fund and deliver positive outcomes for members."

Horskins replaces Ruby Chi, who first joined VicSuper in 1999 and will leave at the end of the year.
