VFMC fixed interest specialist joins CareSuper

Huey Miin Lim has left VFMC after more than nine years. She was most recently a portfolio manager looking after fixed interest and absolute returns.

Industry Moves understands that Lim has joined CareSuper as an investment manager.

A CFA charterholder, Lim joined VFMC in late 2011, Lim was an analyst with Frontier and an investment officer with LUCRF Super. She started her professional career as a fund accountant with Artesian Captial Management.

Lim also serves as the candidate education chair of the board for the CFA Society Melbourne. She looks after the Society's review programs, scholarships, and support for candidates.

In confirming Lim's departure, a spokesperson for VFMC said they are actively recruiting a new senior analyst for the fixed interest and absolute returns team. Kaizen Recruitment is looking after the process.

CareSuper chief investment officer Suzanne Branton told Industry Moves they were delighted to have Lim join the organisation, saying it's an important step in the continued growth of the investment team. "As a highly credentialled investment professional, Huey Miin will help strengthen the quality of our investment decision-making to help drive the Fund's increasingly sophisticated investment program."

Branton says the fund is continuing to expand its investment team and is hiring in other disciplines.
