VFMC, Australia Post director named CFA Institute vice chair

The former managing director for Franklin Templeton Investments and current director for VFMC and the Australia Post Superannuation Scheme, Maria Wilton, has been named vice chair of the US-based CFI Institute.

Wilton has held a variety of board positions since leaving Franklin Templeton Investments in 2018 including with the Australian Centre for Financial Studies and WorkSafe Victoria.

"I am looking forward to working with [chair] Daniel [Gamba], Maria, and our entire all-volunteer Board as together we seek to navigate these unsettled times," said CFA Institute president and CEO Margaret Franklin. "I am proud of our Board's commitment to racial, gender, and geographic diversity, and I know I can depend on their collective expertise."

The board includes 14 new members, half of which are women. They come from a variety of countries including the US, UK, China, and Australia.
