VFMC affirms head of equities

VFMC has confirmed Michael Stavropoulos has been named head of equities. He has held the position in an acting capacity since the departure of Kent Sutherland in late 2019.

Stavropoulos joined VFMC in 2008 and was most recently senior portfolio manager looking after external mandates.

In a statement to Financial Standard, a VFMC spokesperson said, "We are very pleased to see Michael join our Investment Leadership Team as part of his ongoing career at VFMC."

Before joining VFMC, Stavropoulos held research and portfolio management roles at Intech Investment Consultants and AXA.

Shali Lingaretnam has joined VFMC as senior portfolio manager, replacing Stavropoulos.
