NSW Treasury Corporation (TCorp) has announced the departure of general manager, investment implementation & operations, Jonathan Green, as part of a restructure of its investments business.

According to TCorp, Green's departure, after 13 years with the organisation, is a result of a change of reporting line for the investment operations team to chief operating officer, Paul Smith.

Green was previously TCorp's head of investments and was appointed to his most recent role in June 2015 when the investment team was restructured following TCorp's amalgamation with The Safety, Return to Work and Support Division (SRWSD) and SAS Trustee Corporation (STC).

Commenting on Green's contribution to both TCorp and the industry, chief executive, David Deverall, said: "Jonathan played a pivotal role in the 2015 NSW Funds Management Amalgamation program, delivering ongoing annual savings to the State of around $34m pa, and successfully led the project responsible for transitioning the combined assets to a single custodian in 2017 (JP Morgan). At TCorp Jonathan established operational due diligence as a key discipline and has been a strong advocate for its adoption across the broader industry."

Other announced changes at TCorp include the creation of four new leadership roles: head of investment advisory, head of portfolio construction, head of exposure management and head of partner selection. These roles, which are yet to be filled, will report directly to chief investment officer, Stewart Brentnall.

An executive search is also currently underway to recruit a general manager of technology, reporting directly to Deverall.
