Vanguard has announced that Charles Thompson has moved into a new role leading international systems, based in Vanguard's U.S. headquarters.
Thompson was previously Vanguard's chief information officer (CIO) for the Asia Pacific region, having been appointed to the role in January 2015. His successor as CIO is former Jetstar senior manager of group technology, Kim Petersen.
In acknowledging Thompson's contribution, Vanguard managing director, Frank Kolimago, said: "We are very grateful for Charles' service to Vanguard's technology division in Australia, where he built and led the team through a period of significant growth and investment in the firms IT infrastructure and security services."
He added: "We will also continue to benefit from Charles' expertise as his role leading International Systems encompasses Australia and works closely with Kim and the local team."
