Ethical fund manager, UCA Funds Management, has announced the appointment of Mathew Browning as its new chief executive officer and executive director, effective 5 February 2018.

Browning has more than 25 years' experience in financial services, property and professional services, in roles across Australia, Asia and the UK. This experience includes a decade with the Myer Family Company (MFCo), where he held the roles of head of investment, chief operating officer and, most recently, general manager.

Commenting on his appointment at UCA Funds Management, chair, David Cousins, said: "On behalf of the Board of Directors, I welcome Mathew as our new Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director. Mathew is a proven asset manager and advisory business leader, with a strong track record. He has been able to bring together a diverse set of commercial, investment and stakeholder management skills to build and expand boutique businesses."

Browning will replace outgoing CEO, Michael Walsh, who is set to depart on 28 February to ensure for a smooth transition period.
