UBS MD joins Rest investment committee

Board Move

UBS managing director and head of fixed income and investment solutions for Australia, Anne Anderson, has joined the board of industry superannuation fund Rest's investment committee.

Anderson has been with UBS in a variety of roles dating back to 1993, when she was a trader who looked after fixed income execution. She then became the head of portfolio management and, in 2005, became the head of fixed income APAC and Australia.

This is the second board appointment for Anderson, who previously served on the financial management advisory board for the Commonwealth Treasury.

She is joined as a new appointee by former Pendal CEO Michael Bargholz and current Monash Business School professor Deep Kapur on the five-person board.

"The appointment of three eminent investment experts to the Board Investment Committee is part of the overall redesign of the investment governance structure, which complements the recent appointment of Mr Andrew Lill as Rest's Chief Investment Officer," said Rest chair Ken Marshman.

John Nolan is leaving the organisation's investment committee after more than 30 years either on the committee or as an advisor.
