Tribeca appoints Portfolio Manager

Tribeca Investment Partners has confirmed to Industry Moves the appointment of Hadyn Smith as a portfolio manager in the firm's global natural resources team, effective February 2018.

Previously, Smith spent 20 years at Macquarie Bank where he was an executive director and global head of the bank's mining finance group and an executive committee member of the commodities and financial markets group.

In this role, Smith led a team of 40 people across the bank's Australian, Canadian and United Kingdom offices overseeing balance sheet investments in mining and debt equity, in addition to leading all key transactions through credit negotiations and the approval process.

Commenting on his appointment at Tribeca, co-portfolio manager of the Tribeca global natural resources fund, Ben Cleary, said: "We are delighted to welcome Haydn to the team and look forward to benefitting from his many years of specialist experience.
