Thorburn joins IIG to assist in leadership reorganisation

Former NAB group CEO Andrew Thorburn has joined Impact Investment Group (IIG) in a part-time executive capacity following the departure of chief executive Daniel Madhavan.

Danny Almagor has taken on the role of executive chair. He says that Thorburn's appointment, along with the engagement of Sayers Group, will help provide strategic organisation during a period of reorganisation. "Andrew has been part of IIG's community for many years, is a committed impact investor, and is uniquely placed to take on this part-time executive role during the transition period.

"Andrew and Sayers will work with me, the Board and executive team to work through our emerging opportunities and define IIG's exciting next steps."

Thorburn has been busy since leaving NAB in early 2019. He's served as executive director of For Purpose Investment Partners for the last year and, just this month, joined Catalyst Education Pty as chair. He's also been a senior advisor for the Boston Consulting Group and a director with ATMOS Financial.
