TelstraSuper has announced the appointment of Sabine Taylor as the $21 billion corporate super fund's new chief risk officer.

Taylor was initially appointed as interim chief risk officer in February 2019 following the departure of Owen Brailsford.

Taylor has over 25 years' industry experience in the areas of risk, compliance, operations, governance, fraud and security, including roles at UniSuper, AMP, the Commonwealth Bank and, most recently, as head of wrap operations at Colonial First State. She has also served as a member of the Bank's Women's Advisory Council.

Commenting on her appointment, TelstraSuper CEO Chris Davies said: "Sabine brings a wealth of experience to the role and has proven to be a great fit for TelstraSuper."

He added: "We're pleased to appoint someone of such calibre and look forward to working with her to ensure any form of risk that the fund and members are exposed to are appropriately managed."
