TCorp has announced the appointment of debt industry specialist Simon Ling as general manager, financial markets.
Ling previously spent eight years as managing director, head of debt markets at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), with responsibility for a global team in the institutional bank. Before this, he served as executive director, head of debt and hybrid securities at Westpac and managing director, head of Investment grade debt capital markets (US) and managing director, global head of debt origination (UK) at RBC Capital Markets.
Commenting on his appointment, David Deverall, chief executive of TCorp said: "I'm delighted to welcome Simon to the executive team and I am confident he will be a great addition, bringing over 30 years' local and global experience in financial services across product, client relationship building and financial management."
He added: "Simon will be responsible for overseeing our Financial Markets business and collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation to manage all debt and financial risk management related activity and ensure delivery of client-centric solutions."
Ling replaces Paul Vershuer, who departed TCorp in February 2019 for the role of deputy secretary, markets group at Treasury Canberra.
