DEPARTURE
TASPLAN SUPERANNUATION FUND
Date: October 2020
Position: Acting Chief Investment Officer

Tasplan's acting chief investment officer, David Stuart, will leave the organisation later this year.

Stuart took on the role in 2019. He was previously a partner in Mercer's Wealth business and held senior investment roles with Prudential Portfolio Managers and VFMC.

Tasplan, which is expected to complete a merger with MTAA Super in 2021, has appointed Ross Barry as chief investment officer. He will commence with Tasplan in October.

"On behalf of our respective Boards, staff, and members, I sincerely thank all the executives for their dedication and commitment to the funds," said CEO designate Leeanne Turner. "They have been instrumental in driving this merger and have been integral to our success for many years leading up to this. I wish them all the best with their future endeavours."

Update: A source within the organisation says that the timing of Stuart's departure is not clear. He may remain with the organisation until the merger is completed in 2021.
