Synchron promotes head of compliance amid executive reorganisation

Alison Massey has been promoted to head of compliance for Synchron amidst an executive reorganisation caused by the news that Don Trapnell would be stepping back from the day-to-day management of the business.

Massey has a long career in financial services, including as the national advice solutions manager for Australian Unity, a financial planner with NAB, and a few years as a case manager with the Financial Ombudsman Service. She joined Synchron in early 2018.

She's also the co-author of the book Financial Affairs for Women.

Said Trapnell, "I have known Alison for over 30 years and have a deep respect for her abilities.

"We believe that collectively, the Synchron management team has the wealth of industry knowledge necessary to continue to meet ever-increasing regulatory obligations and deliver outstanding outcomes for advisers and their clients," Trapnell said.
