Sylvia Falzon to depart Perpetual board

Perpetual Ltd has announced the departure of independent board director Sylvia Falzon, effective 17 October 2019.

Falzon, who appointed to the board in November 2012, is chair of Perpetual's people and remuneration committee and has been a member of both the investment committee and nominations committee.

She has brought to the board "deep knowledge and insight in the development of asset management businesses with a particular focus on marketing, sales and distribution and client service and operations," Perpetual said.

Also departing the board is Philip Bullock.

In acknowledging both departing directors, the Perpetual board expressed its "sincere thanks to both Mr Bullock and Ms Falzon not only for their years of dedicated service and valuable contribution to Perpetual, but also for their passion and commitment to Perpetual's business and its people."

Joining the board, effective 11 September 2019, is Greg Cooper.
