SVA names incoming CEO

Social Ventures Australia (SVA) has announced the appointment of Suzie Riddell as its incoming chief executive officer.

Riddell, who joined SVA in 2011, currently serves as the organisation's chief strategy officer and is also a director of The Observership Program, which provides training and practical experience in not-for-profit board leadership.

Commenting on her appointment, SVA chair, Paul Robertson, said: "Suzie is the right person to lead SVA through its next stage of evolution and contribution to the Australian social purpose landscape. Her strategic thinking, collaboration and leadership skills stood out among a very strong field of candidates and her deep commitment to SVA's mission is inspiring."

Riddell added: "For Australia to become a place where all people and communities thrive, we must work hard to remove the barriers to participation and learning that exist throughout our social systems. I've seen the incredible impact that can be achieved through collaborative, evidence-informed initiatives that address these barriers, and I Iook forward to helping drive more change in this way.'

Riddell will replace current CEO, Rob Koczkar, and will formally transition at the end of November 2018. SVA will recruit for a new chief strategy officer to replace Riddell.
