Bank of Melbourne chair Elizabeth Proust has been named chair of the board at SuperFriend.

Proust has a long history with banking, particularly in the Melbourne area, having held leadership roles with ANZ including managing director of Metrobanking and group general manager of human resources, corporate affairs, and management services.

As a director, Proust is currently the chair of Nestlé Australia and sits on the board of Lendlease.

SuperFriend chief executive Margo Lydon said they were excited to welcome Proust as their new chair. "She has a rich history of work in charitable, university, and business boards, giving her a unique perspective on SuperFriend's policies and initiatives to improve mental health in Australian workplaces.

"With such a vast industry experience, Elizabeth has established herself a dynamic leader with strong strategic skills who have a successful track record for change management programs in diverse organisations."

Lydon takes over from ex-Cbus chief David Atkin, who served in the role for more than three years.
