SuperFriend, the workplace wellbeing partner of the superannuation and insurance industry, has announced the appointment of Dina Goebel to the newly-created role of GM innovative solutions.

Goebel is a growth strategist with a "passion for data-led innovation", SuperFriend said. She has held several senior roles with organisations including Swinburne University, Australian Unity and Bupa ANZ.

Goebel, who will be based in Melbourne, will join SuperFriend's leadership team along with three other new external recruits: Sandy MacLeod, as GM insurance solutions; Keir Paterson, as GM superannuation and workplace solutions; and Glenn Cassidy, as GM people, technology and enablement.

In addition, former head of marketing and communications, Danielle Clarke, has been promoted to GM impact, communications and insights, and Tambelin Boykin, formerly of Social Ventures Australia, joins as partner communications manager.

SuperFriend said: "The changes come as some of SuperFriend's key financial services partners have expressed the need for more targeted workplace mental health and wellbeing support for staff and members in the wake of protracted industry challenges and reviews, including the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry."

Margo Lydon, SuperFriend CEO, added: "The new Executive team will help us further support Australian employers to improve mental health and wellbeing of their workers through more evidence-informed solutions, delivered in innovative ways, to suit changing work patterns and emerging needs."
