SuperConcepts chief to leave

A spokesperson from AMP has confirmed that SuperConcepts chief executive officer Lara Bourguignon is set to depart from the organisation at the end of the year.

Industry Moves understands that she will move into consulting work across the industry.

Bourguignon has a long history in super and financial services. She joined AMP in mid-2018 as the director of strategic marketing and customer experience. She became the chief executive of SuperConcepts and the managing director of superannuation, retirement and platforms for AMP in October of 2019.

Bourguignon started her carer as a graduate accountant for MLC Life and Insurance, spent a few years with Merrill Lynch Mercury Asset Management before returning to MLC and NAB for nearly 20 years.

As she moves into consulting, Bourguignon has expressed interest in working with not-for-profits and expanding her portfolio of board directorships.
