After 35 years in finance, SuperConcepts CFO Mark Bailey has walked away from the industry, seeking a change in direction for his life and career.

While Bailey had only been in the position for a few months with SuperConcepts - the result of a significant executive reshuffle with new CEO Lara Bourguignon - he had been with the organisation for more than 4 years. Before joining SuperConcepts, Bailey had spent more than 15 years with Commonwealth Bank in both Australia and Europe. Bailey also spent time travelling with KPMG's audit and advisory service.

Bailey said it was time for a tree-change out of Sydney. "With the kids all grown up, we've decided to sell our Sydney home and have a tree-change in lifestyle," he said in a statement.

"Although I'll be out of Sydney I still have a lot to offer and will look to change my career focus once we've settled and done some travel," he said.

SuperConcepts CEO Lara Bourguignon thanked Mark for his service. "Mark is well known and loved here at SuperConcepts and while we're all sorry to see him go we are excited for his tree-change."

Bailey's last day was 11 December.

Gordon Fraser was appointed in October as the new CFO, coming from NAB.
