Sunsuper to create combined public markets team following Berman departure

Sue Berman, Sunsuper's head of fixed income and currency, will depart the organisation after more than 13 years.

A spokesperson for the fund told Industry Moves, "Sue has decided to leave Sunsuper after a 13 year career with the Fund during which her unwavering focus on members' interests and delivery of strong investment outcomes stand as hallmarks. Sue is a valued member of the team and whilst we have benefitted meaningfully from her contributions we also recognise and support her desire to change her focus going forward. Sue's last day at Sunsuper will be Thursday 1 October."

The organisation will create a combined public markets team, which will mirror its private markets team, to take on the responsibilities previously handled by its listed shares and fixed income team. It will be lead by Greg Barnes, previously manager of listed shares.

"The newly combined team is well resourced, with both former teams having added to their capabilities in the past two years," the spokesperson said.
