Stonehorn Global Partners adds Australian distribution specialist

Stonehorn Global Partners is looking to expand its business in Australia by launching the Stonehorn Asia Fund in this country.

The firm has appointed institutional distribution specialist Jonathan Goll to pitch the product to Australian-based institutions including industry super funds, wealth managers, and high net worth professional investors.

Goll has more than 20 years of experience in the global finance industry, most recently as the director of institutional business for BMO in Sydney. He spent more than a decade working with GMO across Asia and held roles at Schroders, S&P, and Towers Perrin.

When asked about his new role, Goll said, "Having worked in Hong Kong, Sydney, Singapore and the U.S., I'm looking forward to helping Australian-based investors develop a better appreciation of the kinds of new economy opportunities in Asia that you just don't get in the west, and usually not at the same prices. It's very exciting."

In its first year, Stonehorn has amassed more than $300 million assets under management from investors in Europe, Asia, and Australia. They have more than $700 million at advanced stages with insto and professional investors globally.
