Statewide Super appoints GM Distribution and Advice

Statewide Super has announced a number of internal appointments to its leadership team including the promotion of former head of financial planning, Lisa Palmer, to the role of general manager, distribution and advice.

In this role, Palmer will assume responsibility of Business Development, Defined Benefit, Financial Planning, Insurance and Claims, Product and Accredited Financial Advisors.

Tony D'Alessandro, Statewide Super's newly-appointed CEO said of Palmer's appointment: "Lisa has more than 15 years' experience in financial services and understands the importance of assisting members to feel confident in their financial well-being, Lisa has proven her ability to make a real difference to the financial future of our members."

Other changes to the team include the promotion of former head of marketing, Nicole Kinnear, to the role of general manager, marketing & member engagement, and the expansion of Kristyn Verrall's role to include organisational strategy in addition to her responsibilities as general counsel and company secretary.

Statewide Super said the appointments follow D'Alessandro's decision "to refine the structure of the organisation to best service its members and in response to regulatory changes."
