State Street Global Markets appoints business development head

State Street Global Markets has announced the appointment of Clare Marlow as head of client service and business development.

In this Melbourne-based role, Marlow will be responsible for client relationships and sales for Portfolio Solutions in Australia. She replaces Michael Putica who relocated to Irvine, California in December 2017 to take up a role with State Street's Portfolio Solutions team.

Prior to joining State Street, Marlow spent 11 years in business development roles at Australian equities manager, JCP Investment Partners. She also has experience in fixed income markets, having spent over five years in London working for Danske Bank, including roles on the Treasury Desk and Debt Capital Markets Desk.

In announcing Marlow's appointment, James Woodward, head of portfolio solutions, Asia Pacific at State Street Global Markets, said: "The depth of experience and insight Clare brings to this role will allow us to build on our continued success in Australia."
