State Street brings in global sales specialist

State Street Corporation has tagged Cara Brosnan to the newly-created role of head of sector solutions for Australia and Southeast Asia.

Brosnan, a finance sales specialist, will lead sales across all of State Street's products and client sectors including asset managers, asset owners, insurance, institutions and alternatives in the region.

Jason Rich, head of APAC sector solutions for State Street, says they're delighted to welcome Cara into the fold. "Her extensive experience in institutional sales roles combined with her comprehensive product knowledge and network will enable us to meet ever-increasing client demands, and further expand our business in Australia and Southeast Asia."

Australia is the fourth-largest pension market, according to the Willis Towers Watson Global Pensions Asset Study, valued at $1.9 trillion USD and growing. Rich says that that provides tremendous opportunities in Aisa and, thanks to increasing interest in global diversification, Southeast Asia.

Brosnan has more than 17 years of experience in sales and business development roles in banking and financial services. Most recently she was the regional head of insurance sales for HSBC Securities Services in Asia Pacific.

Previously based in Hong Kong, Brosnan will relocate to Sydney. Her appointment is effective immediately.
