Robert Fraser appointed Chair of Magellan AM

Magellan Financial Group (Magellan) has announced the appointment of Robert Fraser as chair of Magellan Asset Management, effective 5 June 2019.

Fraser is a company director and corporate adviser with over 28 years of investment banking experience, specialising in mergers and takeovers, corporate and financial analysis, capital management and equity capital markets.

Commenting on his appointment, Magellan chair Hamish Douglass said: "Robert Fraser is currently chairman of the audit and risk committee and has an extensive understanding of Magellan's operations. Robert is the natural choice to act as the non-executive chairman of Magellan Asset Management Limited, our main operating subsidiary."

Magellan has also announced the promotion of Hamish McLennan to deputy chair of the Magellan board.
