Position: Head of Product - Archer

ROAR Software has acquired Archer, a piece of tech that helps advisers optimise the creation of goals-based financial planning.

Archer founder Cameron O'Sullivan is coming along with the transaction and will become ROAR's head of product.

O'Sullivan has a history of leading product development for advisers. He co-founded Provisio Technologies, the first advice system in Australia to utilise optimisation and combine online and adviser-based interfaces into the same advice engine. He later became the GM of wealth with Rubik, which acquired Provisio, and integrated COIN and Provisio to create a complete financial advice system.

O'Sullivan said that Archer should work well with ROAR's various technology. "Archer transforms the advice process by building a tailored goals-based strategy to optimise and explain to the client the strategy, as opposed to a 200-page document where the answers are buried somewhere in it".

ROAR CEO Kevin Liao said Archer's flexibility made it an attractive product for them to add to their existing product suite. "We are in a new age of advice where smart solutions and good customer service reign supreme. ROAR Software wants to partner with advisers to provide them the support they need to thrive."
