Resolution Capital appoints MD

Resolution Capital, a specialist global real estate securities manager, has announced the appointment of Sonia Luton to the role of managing director, effective 1 January 2019.

Luton will succeed current managing director and founder, Andrew Parsons, who will remain as an executive director and focus on his core investment responsibilities as chief investment officer and portfolio manager, the firm said.

Luton, who has over 20 years' experience in senior real estate investment management roles and operational roles in both Australia and overseas, joined Resolution Capital in 2012 as an investment specialist and was appointed as an executive director of the firm in November 2017.

Commenting on her appointment as MD, Parsons said that "it is a natural progression from what she has been doing as a Director and in her day to day activities" and that it acknowledges her "outstanding contribution to the firm's progress".
