RBC IT&S' Australian head departs firm

RBC Investor & Treasury Services (RBC I&TS) has confirmed to Industry Moves the departure of Australian managing director, David Travers, after a decade with the firm, including two years as head of Asia Pacific.

The move follows RBC I&TS' alignment of its Australian business with the global organisation and the appointment of former head of RBC I&TS for Malaysia, Andy Allen, to a new role as general manager, Australia.

Commenting on Travers' departure, a spokesperson for the firm said: "David was with RBC for many years and oversaw the significant growth of our capabilities and footprint in the country. We wish him all the very best."

In other news, RBC Capital Markets head of FICC, Rob McCormack, has been promoted to the newly-created role of head of global markets, APAC.
