RBC IT&S appoints General Manager, Australia

RBC Investor & Treasury Services (RBC I&TS) has confirmed to Industry Moves that it has aligned its Australian business with the global organisation and appointed Andy Allen to a new role as general manager, Australia.

Allen will relocate from Malaysia to Sydney for the role and "will provide senior oversight to ensure governance across RBC I&TS business and functions," RBC I&TS said.

Allen joined RBC I&TS in 2014 to lead the business in Singapore. In mid-2016, he moved to Kuala Lumpur as head of RBC I&TS for Malaysia and played an "integral role" in establishing RBC Shared Services Malaysia in 2018 to support other RBC businesses.

In other news, RBC Capital Markets head of FICC, Rob McCormack, has been promoted to the newly-created role of head of global markets, APAC.
