DEBORAH RALSTON
SMSF Association - Non-Executive Director
APPOINTMENT
SMSF ASSOCIATION
Date: July 2021
Position: Non-Executive Director

Deborah Ralston has returned to the board of the SMSF Association. She stepped down from her position to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest after being named to the three-person Retirement Income Review panel.

Ralston currently holds board and advisory positions with Household Capital and Allianz Retire+. She has been a professor of finance with Monash University for the last dozen years and has also held board positions with U Ethical and Mortgage Choice.

Ralston has also previously been a chair of the SMSFA. "Deborah proved an invaluable Board member during her last stint, playing an important role in the public debate on a broad range of retirement incomes policy issues," SMSFA chair Andrew Hamilton said.

"Her many years of being involved in key public policy debates in the financial services industry, with a focus on innovation and retirement issues, is a resource that the Association will be able to tap again, and we look forward to hearing her wise counsel."

Ralson is joined on the SMSF Association board by BT's Bryan Ashenden.
