Australia-based asset manager, QIC, has announced the expansion of its global clients and marketing team including the appointment of Leonie Wilkinson as director, investment specialist, effective July 2017.
In this role, reporting to David Asplin, QIC managing director of global business development, Wilkinson is responsible for servicing QIC's global real estate clients and is based in Sydney. She works alongside the organisation's business development directors and investment specialists, with a focus on leading product development and fund-raising initiatives for QIC's US real estate platform.
Wilkinson has 19 years' market expertise and product knowledge in investment management and property funds. Most recently, she was head of client capital group, Australia & New Zealand for LaSalle Investment Management. She previously served in senior positions at Macquarie Capital, Barclays Capital and Stockland Property Group.
QIC has also announced the appointment of Reza Basharzad to the same role as Wilkinson, based in Los Angeles.
Commenting on their appointments, Asplin said: "Leonie and Reza's extensive experience in real estate funds management and investor relations will be of significant value to our clients as we continue to build our US real estate platform."
