QIC adds to private debt team

QIC has hired David Spiez as general manager of strategy and operations for its private debt function.

Spiez is one of several hires, including Evan Nahnsen who has been named head of private debt, infrastructure and Lindsay Scully as a principal in the team. Both will be based in New York.

Spiez, who was formerly based in Dubai with Standard Charted Bank, will be based in Brisbane for his new role. He was previously the managing director for real estate banking and head of Middle East and Africa operations for the organisation. He has also held equity research roles for the region with Citi and JP Morgan.

"Given the experience and capability of our new colleagues, we are positioning ourselves to capture the best of these opportunities for our clients.
