An administrative error at Praemium has led to a director stepping down from the board.

Claire Willette, who was supposed to be up for re-election earlier this week, had her re-election accidentally omitted from the organisation's annual general meeting.

In a market statement, the company put out a statement saying that she would continue to attend board and committee meetings in an advisory capacity until shareholders next reconvene to vote. "The company reaffirms its commitment to meeting defined diversity objectives and regrets this administrative oversight."

Willette joined the board in 2017 following a long career in defence and international security. She was with the US Department of Defense for a decade and held several roles for the US Secretary of Defense after that. She came to Australia in 2013 as a US exchange officer with the Australian Department of Defence.

Following her time in public service, Willette has taken consulting roles with the CSIRO and policy consultancy Windrose International. She presently holds an executive position with Boeing as the global trade control lead for the Asia Pacific region.

Praemium did add former Powerwrap chair Anthony Wamsteker to its board during the AGM.
