Perpetual appoints Group Executive, Perpetual Corporate Trust

Perpetual has announced the promotion of Richard McCarthy from general manager to group executive of Perpetual Corporate Trust, effective 1 December 2018.

McCarthy replaces Chris Green, who moved into the role of chief financial officer in October 2018.

Commenting on McCarthy's promotion, Perpetual managing director and chief executive officer, Rob Adams, said: "I'm pleased to be promoting Richard from the corporate trust leadership team to the executive team, recognising his broader leadership capability with a particular emphasis on client-focused digital innovation."

McCarthy has more than 23 years' experience in banking and financial services, 11 of which served at Perpetual. Prior to joining Perpetual, he held senior roles with BNY Mellon and JP Morgan in London.

McCarthy will be joined on Perpetual's executive leadership team by fellow new-recruit, Sam Mosse, in the newly- created role of chief risk officer.
