OpenMarkets Group has named a chair, an executive director, and two new members of its board.

Naseema Sparks, who is a director with Knight Frank Australia and a past president of Chief Executive Women, has been named chair.

Sparks has held a diverse set of directorships in recent years, including with GraysOnline, Blackmores, and the Sydney Living Museums. As an executive, Sparks was the managing director of advertising agency M&C Saatchi in Sydney. She's also held roles with PwC and Sanofi.

Sparks started her career with Glaxo following an undergraduate education in pharmacology but went back for an MBA at Melbourne Business School.

"I look for two things when I join a board - a robust and compelling business model, and a good management team and strong board of directors," Sparks said. "OpenMarkets Group has both of these and I'm excited by the opportunities available to OMG to disrupt and create broader access in the trading and wealth management industry."

Sparks is joined on the board by Koda Capital co-founder Andrew Rutherford and former CommSec MD Paul Rayson. Bob Alexander has been appointed executive director and CFO.
