OpenMarkets CEO takes group operations role with FinClear

FinClear has added Andrea Marani to their leadership team as group chief operating officer.

Marani joins from OpenMarkets where he spent more than six years, three as CEO. His financial services career dates back more than 20 years with roles at Investec, JP Morgan, Bankers Trust, and Shaw & Partners.

FinClear CEO David Ferrall was excited someone of Marani's calibre joined the organisation. "Andrea has been instrumental in not only growing OpenMarkets client base over previous years but also promoting operational efficiencies and technology/API capabilities, which are more important than ever in the current environment," he said. "I'm delighted that FinClear's profile and track record have been impressive enough to bring an outstanding executive like Andrea on board."

Marani will be based in Melbourne, leading the technology operations and client services team as well as operational aspects of the Sydney team.
