Martin Nosek is set to return to Deutsche Bank as the head of its Australian financial institutions' group.

Nosek spent nearly two years with Nomura Australia as managing direction and head of financial institutions group. He previously spent more than 14 years with Deutsche Bank in London as the head of European Insurance and head of CEEMEA financial institutions.

Mayooran Elalingam, the head of investment banking coverage in the APAC region, welcomed Nosek back to the organisation. "Australia has always been and will continue to be a key market for our Origination and Advisory offering in Asia Pacific, with many of our largest transactions in the region involving an Australia element."

Deutsche Bank's head of investment banking coverage and advisory Hugh Macdonald told Financial Standard, "We are delighted to have Martin join the team and look forward to increasing our coverage of the considerable opportunity present in the Australian financial sector.

"After a strong finish to 2020 and with an exciting pipeline in place for the year ahead, we look forward to continuing to invest in our origination and advisory offering in Australia."
