Nick Evans departs Nuveen

Nuveen managing director and head of Australia and APAC real estate, Nick Evans, has left the organisation.

Confirming the move, a spokesperson for the organisation wished him well in his future endeavours.

Evans has spent the bulk of his career with Henderson Global Investors, TIAA Henderson, and Nuveen. He started as a fund manager in London in 2005, looking after the flagship Henderson European open-ended property investment vehicle.

In 2012, Evans relocated to Australia as the founding director of Henderson Global Investors Australia where he was responsible for building the local management team and implementing the organisation's multi-asset strategic business plan. In 2014, Evans became TIAA Henderson Real Estate's head of Australia following the organisation's merger. He joined Nuveen as head of Australia in 2019.

In comments to Industry Moves, Evans said he does not have anything lined up at present.

Nuveen Real Estate made several executive changes at the end of last year including promoting Rick Marston to head of Australian transactions. Simon England-Brammer remains head of Nuveen Asia Pacific and Andrew Kleining, head of Australasia, has taken on additional responsibilities as the head of the Australian office.
