WILLIS TOWERS WATSON
Date: July 2021
Position: Head of Australian Investments

Aongus O'Gorman has been promoted to lead the Australian investments team for global advisory Willis Towers Watson.

"Aongus has been responsible for our Australian Delegated business for most of his six years with WTW, which has seen us deliver a new service to the market and acquire many new client relationships," said head of investments for Asia Pacific Taro Ogai. "Over the 25 years of his career, Aongus has been an asset owner, asset manager and investment consultant. This broad range of experience ideally places him to lead our investment team in Australia."

O'Gorman replaces Martin Goss, who left the role to focus on client consulting with the organisation. O'Gorman retains his previous role as head of delegated and specialist solutions for investments.

Before joining Willis Towers Watson in 2015, O'Gorman was the managing director of Round Tower Solutions, a management consulting and outsourcing firm. He was also the director of implemented solutions with QIC. He started his career with International Investment Underwriting, a hedge fund in his native Ireland before moving to Australia in 2001.

"It's an exciting time to take on this opportunity," said O'Gorman. "Over the last few years, we have augmented our traditional asset consulting with strategic advisory and delegated solutions because we firmly believed it was in the best interests of clients and would help meet their future needs.

"Martin has brought together a highly capable and energetic team in Australia that is backed by significant global resources. It is something that resounds very positively with our clients and I look forward to continuing that."
