NAB, MLC consolidate wealth management; appoint general manager

MLC has appointed Brendan Johnson as head of the new TenFifty Financial Group, an adviser group that combines MLC's advice brand as well as Apogee, Garvan, and Meritum. The NAB Financial Planning brand is also to be retired.

Johnson is an MLC/NAB stalwart, having held several roles with the organisation since joining in 2004 as a practice development manager. He was most recently GM for Apogee, and then GM for both Apogee and Garvan.

More than 300 advisers are attached to the various brands, and they are expected to be transitioned to TenFifty in the coming months. An MLC spokesperson told Financial Standard that the process was delayed due to COVID-19.
