MTAA Super's executive manager of investments, Phil Brown, will depart the organisation ahead of the merger with Tasplan in 2021. He has been with the organisation since 2005, most recently as executive manager of investments.

Ross Barry is set to join the organisation as the new chief investment officer in October.

Brown is one of several executives that will depart in the merger, including Tasplan CEO Wayne Davy and acting CIO Dave Stuart.

Before joining MTAA, held investing roles in the health insurance space, including with Medibank. He started his career as a statistical analyst with the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
