Morningstar Australasia names new MD

Morningstar Australasia, a subsidiary of investment research provider Morningstar, has announced the appointment of Jamie Wickham as the firm's new Australasian managing director, effective 1 September 2017.

Wickham replaces current chief executive officer Heather Brilliant, who has led the firm since 2014, and is leaving to take a new role with Colonial First State Global Asset Management/First State Investments based in New York.

Wickham is currently Morningstar's Asia-Pacific head of products and solutions. Prior to this, he spent four years leading the firm's data business from Morningstar's London office.

Commenting on Wickham's promotion, Morningstar CEO, Kunal Kapoor, said: "I am pleased to appoint Jamie Wickham as our incoming Australasian managing director. Jamie is well-qualified for this role with 20 years of experience with Morningstar and its predecessors' Australasia business. His hands-on approach to solving our clients' issues makes him ideal for this new leadership opportunity."
