MLC Wealth appoints GM Product for asset management business

MLC Wealth has announced three appointments to the leadership team of its renamed asset management business, including Amna Khan as general manager, product.

Effective 1 October 2019, NAB Asset Management's name changed to MLC Asset Management as part of MLC's separation from NAB Group.

Khan is currently head of product for Asia Pacific at First Sentier Investors (formerly Colonial First State Global Asset Management), where she holds responsibility for investment product strategy. Before joining First Sentier in 2001, she worked at Citi Pakistan, "pioneering credit product development in the country," MLC said.

In her new role, Khan will be joined by internal appointees Sharon Davis as general manager, strategic initiatives and growth, and Mark Siow as general manager, asset management services.

Khan, Davis and Siow are the final additions to a leadership team of five reporting to Garry Mulcahy, incoming group executive, asset management. Mulcahy previously announced that Jonathan Armitage would continue as chief investment officer and that Mandy Mannix would join as general manager, distribution.

Mulcahy said of the appointees: "Having a strong and experienced team of investment management professionals is critical to our future success and I'm delighted Amna, Sharon and Mark will join Jonathan and Mandy on the leadership team. They are seasoned executives who will bring extensive experience, fresh insights and a deep commitment to great client and member outcomes."
