MLC Wealth has announced three appointments to the leadership team of its renamed asset management business, including the internal appointment of Mark Siow as general manager, asset management services.

Effective 1 October 2019, NAB Asset Management's name has changed to MLC Asset Management as part of MLC's separation from NAB Group.

Siow joined the business in 1998 and has recently been leading the ongoing implementation of investment strategy for clients and the provision of operational support for the investment teams, MLC said.

He will be joined in the new role by fellow internal appointee Sharon Davis as general manager, strategic initiatives and growth, as well as Amna Khan who will join from First Sentier Investors as general manager, product.

Khan, Davis and Siow are the final additions to a leadership team of five reporting to Garry Mulcahy, incoming group executive, asset management. Mulcahy previously announced that Jonathan Armitage would continue as chief investment officer and that Mandy Mannix would join as general manager, distribution.

Mulcahy said of the appointees: "Having a strong and experienced team of investment management professionals is critical to our future success and I'm delighted Amna, Sharon and Mark will join Jonathan and Mandy on the leadership team.
