MLC appoints Hotaling, beefs out NY-based private equity team

MLC Asset Management has beefed out its New York-based private equity team, appointing Laura Hotaling as portfolio manager. Hotaling joins MLC from the New York State Teachers' Retirement System (NYSTRS), one of the 10 largest pension funds in the US, with over $US120 billion in funds under management.

Most recently, Hotaling was NYSTRS' chief risk officer, following eight years as a portfolio manager responsible for NYSTRS' international private equity investments.

Also joining MLC's private equity team are Alicia Chen and Ashini Ganesalingam as senior associates.
