Milford promotes sustainable investments head

Milford Asset Management has promoted senior analyst Marissa Rossi as its new head of sustainable investments.

Rossi joined the investment house in 2019 following 17 years with UBS Asset Management where she held roles including lead portfolio manager and head of research.

"Marissa's appointment as head of sustainable investments is recognition of the expertise she has already been providing to clients in this area since joining Milford last year," said Milford chief investment officer Wayne Gentle.

"At Milford, sustainable investing is an important part of our investment framework," said Rossi. "Not only do investors want their investments to align with their values, they also know that companies with strong ESG credentials are well-positioned to benefit from long-term structural tailwinds and better risk management."

Milford has also hired Jason Kururangi as Rossi's replacement on the Australian Equities team.
