Milford expands Australian team with senior investment hire

Trans-Tasman fund manager Milford Asset Management has announced the appointment of Marissa Rossi as a senior analyst in the firm's Sydney-based Australian equities team.

Rossi previously spent 17 years at UBS Asset Management where she held the roles of senior analyst, head of research and lead portfolio manager for the firm's sustainable Australian equities portfolio.

Commenting on her appointment, Milford chief investment officer Wayne Gentle said: "We are excited to welcome Marissa to the Milford team. She brings a wealth of Australian corporate knowledge, analytical ability, and a strong stock-picking record."

Rossi added: "I'm looking forward to working with such a high calibre team and contributing to Milford's growth in Australia."

The hire comes as Milford continues to expand its Australian presence, having recruited Regan van Berlo as head of distribution and William McVeigh as Australian dealer earlier this year.
