Milford appoints Australian distribution head
New Zealand founded fund manager, Milford Asset Management (Milford), has confirmed the appointment of Regan van Berlo as the firm's new head of distribution in Australia, effective late 2018.
Based in the firm's Sydney office, van Berlo is responsible for leading Milford's engagement with financial advisers, research teams, asset consultants, and platform providers.
Van Berlo has over a decade of experience in the Australian investment management industry with exposure to the funds management, investment research, data, software and advice segments. Prior to joining Milford, he spent six years with Morningstar, Inc, most recently as head of adviser distribution for Morningstar Investment Management, where he was responsible for growing and engaging with financial advisers, dealer groups, research teams and platforms.
In a statement from the firm, Milford chief investment officer, Wayne Gentle, said: "We are excited to continue Milford's expansion in Australia through Regan's appointment. He brings a strong track record of growing investment management businesses through the advice channel and his appointment reaffirms our commitment to making Milford's world class investment capability available to Australian investors."
